Regional Tour – Enfield North and Enfield Southgate

Today Sayeeda visited Enfield North and Enfield Southgate. Campaigning with Cllr Ertan Hurer and Cllr Henry Lamprecht they visited The Mevlana Community Centre and then went on to visit Octopus Restaurent where they met with local small business owners. (April 23rd 2009)

Regional Tour – Dagenham and Rainham

Today Sayeeda has been campaigning with Conservative Candidate for Dagenham and Rainham, Simon Jones.

Together they visited constituents to discuss housing issues.

Vaisakhi Celebration

Today Sayeeda hosted a reception for the Sikh Festival of Vaisakhi. Amongst the guests were Rt Hon David Cameron MP and the renowned actor, singer songwriter and poet Gurdas Mann.

Vaisakhi is one of the major festivals in the Sikh Calendar and is celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm and hapiness.  To celebrate this very auspicious occasion, Vaisakhi is celebrated on the 14th of April every year. It is a joyous occasion when the whole Sikh Community get together. (April 21st 2009)

Regional Tour – Banbury Job Club

Today Sayeeda visited the Job Club that Tony Baldry MP and the Conservative Social Action Team helped set up in Banbury.

The Banbury Job Club has been running on a weekly basis for nearly four months and is offering vital practical job seeking advice and emotional support to those who are looking for work. Baroness Warsi said that she was “very impressed by the enthusiasm and dedication of everyone involved in making it such a success. I hope to encourage other MPs, Candidates and Councillors to follow Tony Baldy’s lead and get more Job Clubs up and running across the country”
